So trendy is this place that the only signage outside is a small plaque about knee height. This Thai-inspired restaurant highlights the dizzying heights cooking has reached in Australia. Though the place doesn't look like much-a Spartan affair with simple wooden floor boards and noisy fans in summer-I guarantee you've never tasted anything quite so exquisite. Flavors and textures are so delicate and perfectly matched that, course after course, your taste buds virtually leap out of your mouth. The menu changes regularly, but some of the dishes offered might include green jungle curry of quail and smoked trout sausage. The desserts-especially the sticky rice pudding with mango-are out of this world. Next door is a cheaper but equally flavorful Darley Street Thai take-out and bar-stool eatery.
