There's no better to place to refuel after a walk across the Harbour Bridge than this intimate cafe near the Milsons Point CityRail station on the north side of Sydney Harbour. Freckle Face specializes in sandwiches, bagels, Turkish bread, foccacia, and very good coffee. The smoked salmon, baby spinach, and cream cheese on toasted Turkish bread is one of my favorites, and the biscuits and cakes (especially the flourless orange and almond cake) are gorgeous. There are good breakfasts here for A$6.90 (U.S.$4.85), including fruit salads, muesli, fruit bread, and egg dishes. Everything is made on the premises. The staff is very friendly, so say hello to Jackie and Victoria--two freckle-faced sisters.
