Right on the beach with fabulous
views across the ocean, Café Tunis dishes out huge, value-for-money portions of North
African specialties. My favorite to start is the fresh tuna with vegetables and egg
deep-fried in pastry. It's big enough for a main dish. Real main courses include couscous
royale, with lamb, chicken, and spicy sausage. It's large enough for two. The grilled
seafood platter is very popular and is also big enough for you and a friend. Café Tunis
is open for breakfast-eggs, especially the egg Benedict, are a specialty-and for lunchtime
when fish-and-chips is the favorite (but you can still try the authentic Tunisian
desserts).
