You won't find many three-star hotels that offer as much value for your dollar as the Oxford Koala. A very popular tourist hotel, it is well placed just off trendy Oxford Street, a 5- to 10-minute bus trip from the city center and Circular Quay. There are 13 floors of rooms in this tower block; rooms on the top floor have reasonable views over the city. Superior rooms (A$140/U.S.$98) are very comfortable and more spacious than standard rooms and have better furniture. All come with a shower/tub combination or just a shower. Apartments are good-size, come with a full kitchen, and are serviced daily. On the premises are a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a cocktail bar.
