This popular and friendly B&B is well worth considering if you want to be within walking distance of the Kings Cross action, but just far enough away to get a decent night's sleep. Deluxe rooms have either a queen- or king-size bed and a combined shower and tub, while the smaller standard rooms come with a double bed and a shower (no tub). If you decide to bring your kids here--or to any other Kings Cross area hotel--keep in mind that they'll get an eyeful of prostitutes and sex bars on the way to and from the CityRail station. The two large superior rooms come with two single beds and two more that can be locked together to form a king, and a separate living room. One comes with a small kitchen with a microwave and hot plates. All rooms are very clean and comfortable and have private bathrooms. There is also a small guest lounge with a TV. A fully cooked breakfast is served up in the cafe below. Guests also receive 10% off meals at the adjoining Thai and Japanese steak house restaurants. Smoking is allowed in all rooms except the lounge. Flights of stairs and no elevator (lift) might make this a bad Choice for older travelers or those with disabilities.
