This imposing sandstone museum set back
from the water on The Rocks-side of Circular Quay offers wacky, entertaining, inspiring,
and befuddling displays of what's new (and dated) in modern art. It houses the J. W. Power
Collection of more than 4,000 pieces, including works by Andy Warhol, Christo, Marcel
Duchamp, and Robert Rauschenberg, as well as temporary exhibits. Guided tours are offered
Monday to Saturday at noon and 2pm, and Sunday at 2pm.
