I'd head here first if I were in the market for a decent boomerang or didjeridoo. Gavala is entirely owned and operated by Aborigines, and there are plenty of authentic Aboriginal crafts for sale, including carved emu eggs, grass baskets, cards, and books. A first-rate painted didjeridoo will cost anywhere from A$160 (U.S.$112) to A$265 (U.S.$185.50). Gavala also sponsors cultural talks, didjeridoo-making and emu egg-carving lessons, and storytelling sessions.
