Sydney Tower Centrepoint

AMP Tower is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere. Standing at nearly 305 m (1,000 ft) it offers stunning 360-degree views, and on clear days, you can see almost 85 km (53 miles) away. AMP Tower is a landmark in its own right, and can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, and even far beyond. Consisting of Centrepoint Shopping Centre at the base, 2 revolving restaurants, a coffee shop, and an observation deck, this is one Sydney landmark that shouldn't be missed.

A. The enormous water tank holds 162,000 litres (42,796 gallons) of water and acts as a stabilizer on very windy days.
B. The observation level provides stunning 360-degree views of Sydney Harbour and beyond. There is a tourist information desk where you can pick up many brochures on other attractions as well as bus, train, and ferry schedules.
C. Level 3: The Sky Lounge coffee shop and bar offers inexpensive sandwiches, salads, desserts and drinks. This is perfect to go if you are watching your budget and would like to eat a meal with a spectacular view without having to pay the price of the other 2 restaurants in AMP Tower. The cost of a light meal starts around A$6.00.
D. Level 2:   If you are looking for a little more style than what the Sky Lounge has to offer but don't want to pay the price of the International Restaurant, the Buffet Revolving Restaurant on level 2 is the place to go. It offers an all you can eat buffet including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
E. Level 1:  The International Revolving Restaurant offers fine dining at its best. Here you can choose from a fixed price menu that includes 3 courses or from the regular menu that included appetizers , salads, main courses, and desserts. Reservations are essential.
F. Inside the shaft are two separate, fireproof emergency escape routes. Also inside the shaft are double decker elevators that carry up to 2,000 people per hour. At full speed, the lift takes about 40 seconds to reach the observation level, which is 76 floors above the ground.

Centrepoint Shopping Centre is located at the base of AMP Tower, and is where you gain access to the Tower as well as make reservations for the restaurants. Centrepoint Shopping Centre has over 150 specialty shops on four levels.
